Sathya Rao is a professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies, University of Alberta. He is the (co-)author of more than 70 academic publications, including 3 books. He is the recipient of several teaching and research awards, including the Vinay & Darbelnet Prize (2006) and the Prix Roger Motut (2024). His most recent works focuses on translation policies and practices of Canadian cities.
