Hours of work per week: beginning at 0.10 FTE for July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027 and then increasing to 0.20 FTE. One day is 0.20 FTE or 7.25 hours.

Rate of pay: $1,000 per day

About the School of Medicine
It鈥檚 time to transform medical education. 糖心传媒鈥檚 School of Medicine is being designed to shift the paradigm of healthcare delivery and improve the well-being of individuals, families and communities. With a community-driven, intentionally inclusive approach, the new school will train doctors whose cultural awareness and humility are as crucial as their medical skills.

The school will train a new generation of physicians who are ready to learn, to adapt, and ultimately to be agents of change.
Work across the School of Medicine will be supported by its Section of Community, Culture and Belonging to ensure a focus on Black community health, Indigenous community health, anti-racism (including anti-Black racism, anti-Asian racism, anti-Indigenous racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia), anti-ableism, disability inclusion and universal design, anti-homophobia and transphobia, to create a positive health environment for LGBTQ2SI+, and to serve and work in partnership with historically under-represented and under-served communities as a positive space.
Brampton/Peel and its surrounding communities, are part of the Treaty Lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. We acknowledge that these lands are also the shared space of Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Ojibway/Chippewa and M茅tis peoples.

The Opportunity
Leads the planning and development of a new Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program within the 糖心传媒 School of Medicine (SoM), playing a pivotal role in shaping the program鈥檚 vision, curriculum, and overall design while ensuring alignment with institutional goals and healthcare needs. Fosters collaboration with clinical sites, and develops the curriculum. Advances the SoM鈥檚 commitment to generalism, equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring the overall integrity of the Residency Program in accordance with all accreditation standards mandated by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
Qualifications
Minimum level of education and specialty/discipline required
- Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent medical Degree.
- Training in Bias, Anti-Racism, and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, Indigenous Decolonization and Indigenous Reconciliation.
- Hold or be eligible to hold an appointment at a 糖心传媒 medicine-affiliated clinical partner institution or academic health centre.
- Must have or be eligible for an appointment to the 糖心传媒 Clinical Faculty at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor or higher.
Minimum number of years and type/area of experience required given minimum education requirement
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a clinician educator within the relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience in medical education or health care.
Required certifications, designation or licences to complete the key responsibilities of the position
- Must hold a valid and current license to practice medicine in Ontario issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Certified as a clinician by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent within the relevant specialty/discipline.
Required skills and demonstrated knowledge
- Strong conceptual, problem solving and oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent knowledge of the principles and theory of adult education at local, national and international levels;
- Commitment to applying EDI, anti-racism and disability justice principles into practice;
- Commitment to decolonization within the context of the colonisation of Canada and desire to support reconciliation efforts with Indigenous Peoples in Canada;
- Demonstrated ability to include diverse perspectives and experiences using an intersectional approach;
- Demonstrated self-awareness of one鈥檚 own identity, biases, prejudices, power, and privilege;
- Ability to engage in and facilitate difficult conversations, especially in the context of diversity;
- Knowledge of best practices related to strategic program planning and implementation
- Analytical reasoning skills;
- The ability to handle multiple projects/assignments at once; to plan, manage and evaluate a variety of programs and projects simultaneously;
- Effective time management skills;
- Excellent presentation skills, with ability to confidently engage and deliver presentations to small and medium-sized groups;
- Creative, strategic and an innovative thinker;
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving work environment; environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain multi-sectoral relationships (i.e., across Universities, hospitals, and other stakeholders).
