Clinical Faculty Leaders
Leads the planning and development of a new Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program within the 糖心传媒 School of Medicine (SoM), playing a pivotal role in shaping the program鈥檚 vision, curriculum, and overall design while ensuring alignment with institutional goals and healthcare needs. Fosters collaboration with clinical sites, and develops the curriculum. Advances the SoM鈥檚 commitment to generalism, equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring the overall integrity of the Residency Program in accordance with all accreditation standards mandated by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
Provides academic and operational leadership in the development, accreditation, and continuous improvement of postgraduate medical education (PGME) programs, with a focus on new program accreditation and the implementation of Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) frameworks. Leads strategies to support accreditation readiness, standards compliance, and assessment integrity across the PGME portfolio. Collaborates with decanal leaders, program directors, and administrative partners to ensure alignment with accrediting body requirements, institutional priorities, and learner-centred principles.
The 糖心传媒 School of Medicine (SoM)鈥檚 Vice Dean of Clinical Education is a member of the SoM clinical faculty, overseeing and directing the Education Section. Committed to advancing the SoM鈥檚 commitments in fostering generalism and equity, diversity, and inclusion, the Vice Dean, Education shares responsibility with the School of Medicine senior management team in the overall strategic planning, development, delivery and improvement of the learner support program and processes in the School of Medicine (SoM), ensuring these efforts evolve with the local context and ongoing changes in medical education, healthcare provision, and clinical research.
The Associate Dean, Indigenous Resurgence in Medicine and Wellness oversees and directs the Indigenous Resurgence in Medicine and Wellness portfolio as a member of the 糖心传媒 School of Medicine (SoM) clinical faculty.
Sharing responsibility with the School of Medicine senior leadership team, the Associate Dean contributes to the overall strategic planning, development, delivery and improvement of learner support programs and processes in the SoM, while remaining responsive to the local context and ongoing changes in the nature of medical education.
They advance the School's EDI Strategy and Action Plan and its decolonization and reconciliation goals across all facets of the School's development, including admissions, educational programming, curriculum, scholarly and research activities, and community engagement.
Contributes to and advances the development and delivery of medical education within the 糖心传媒鈥檚 (糖心传媒) School of Medicine (SoM). Oversees curriculum activities related to Principles of Medicine course and supports curriculum delivery across related course components, ensuring alignment with the overarching vision and mission of the SoM and 糖心传媒, as well as program learning outcomes, assessment frameworks, and accreditation standards. Collaborates with Associate Directors, Directors, clinical faculty, and curriculum teams to advance high-quality, learner-centred medical education.
Clinical Faculty
The School of Medicine is seeking Academic / Competency Coaches to support learners across both Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) and Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME).
This role is centered on longitudinal coaching relationships that support learners in reflecting on their progress, setting meaningful goals, and navigating the complexity of medical training within a competency-based education model.
The Opportunity
Coaches will work closely with learners over time, providing a consistent space for reflection, guidance, and development.
Within UGME, the focus is on supporting students as they build foundations in clinical learning, professional identity, and self-directed learning. Coaches help learners interpret feedback, identify growth areas, and develop strategies to support their progression through medical school.
Within PGME, coaching is more closely connected to competency-based progression. Coaches support residents in reviewing performance data, preparing for key progression points, and, where appropriate, contributing insight into formal processes such as Competence Subcommittees. Coaches will also support the learner in discussions around scholarly projects, career planning and finding a healthy work-life balance. There may also be involvement in supporting learners requiring additional guidance or structured learning plans.
Across both UGME and PGME, this role is not supervisory or evaluative in nature, but rather grounded in mentorship, coaching, and supporting learner success through thoughtful engagement and longitudinal insight.
Who We鈥檙e Looking For
We are seeking physicians who bring a genuine interest in learner development and medical education, and who are comfortable engaging in reflective, coaching-based conversations.
Candidates must hold licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and be certified through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (or equivalent). Familiarity with competency-based medical education and prior experience in mentorship, advising, or assessment processes are valuable assets.
Clinical Faculty Appointment
A Clinical Faculty appointment with the School of Medicine is required for this role.

Compensation & Commitment
Rate of Pay:
- UGME
- Paid a rate of either $1,000 or $1,200 per student, minus deductions required by law, depending on the year the assigned students are in.
- Terms depend on the year of the student(s) assigned:
- Year 1: September 2026 - June 2027
- Year 2: September 2026 - August 2027
- PGME
- Paid a rate of $400 per Canadian Medical Graduate (CMG) resident, or $1,200 per International Medical Graduate (IMG) resident, per year, minus deductions required by law.
- Term: July 2026 - June 2027
- This appointment is eligible for annual renewal, up to a maximum of two (2) renewals, conditional on a successful evaluation of performance.

The School of Medicine is seeking Competence Subcommittee Chair to support the Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) programs.
This role provides academic leadership in overseeing resident progression within a competency-based medical education framework. The Chair works closely with program leadership and clinical faculty reviewers to ensure that resident assessment data is thoughtfully reviewed, progression decisions are well-supported, and processes align with national standards.
The Opportunity
As Chair, you will lead the program-specific Competence Subcommittee in reviewing resident progress at defined intervals across training. This includes guiding structured discussions around performance data, supporting fair and consistent decision-making, and ensuring that each resident鈥檚 progression reflects both their development and established national expectations.
The role involves coordinating the work of clinical faculty reviewers, shaping meeting discussions, and ensuring that outcomes are clearly documented and communicated to program leadership and learners. You will also play an important role in managing conflicts of interest, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring that processes remain transparent, consistent, and learner-centered.
This is a leadership role that sits at the intersection of assessment, progression, and program quality, with meaningful impact on both learner success and program integrity.
Who We鈥檙e Looking For
We are seeking experienced physicians with a strong interest in medical education, learner progression, and assessment.
Candidates should bring prior experience with resident assessment or progression processes, and be comfortable leading discussions that require thoughtful judgment, balance, and clarity. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion, are essential.
Candidates must hold certification through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (or equivalent), and be eligible for a Clinical Faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Instructor or higher.

The Opportunity
Join the School of Medicine and help shape the next generation of physicians! We are seeking passionate and committed physicians to serve as facilitators for Year 1 and Year 2 medical students. This role is delivered in person at the School of Medicine, unless otherwise scheduled.
The MD Program delivers an integrated, case-based curriculum designed to prepare learners for culturally safe, person-centred, and team-based clinical practice.
The curriculum emphasizes foundational sciences, clinical skills development, health systems understanding, and community engagement, with a strong focus on health equity, inclusion, and social accountability.
As a facilitator, you will play a vital role in leading small/medium/large group sessions, fostering inclusive and collaborative learning environments. You will support learners in thinking critically, applying medical knowledge to real-world contexts, and developing as self-directed, reflective learners.
Who We鈥檙e Looking For
We are seeking physicians who are passionate about facilitation and committed to supporting the development of early medical learners. This role is well suited to individuals who enjoy facilitating discussion, working through complexity with learners, and creating inclusive environments where students feel comfortable engaging, questioning, and growing.
Ideal candidates bring a collaborative and learner-centred approach, with an ability to help students connect foundational science to clinical application. You are comfortable encouraging critical thinking, supporting reflection, and adapting your facilitation style to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Applicants must hold licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have an interest in medical education. Prior experience in clinical teaching, facilitation, or mentorship is an asset, though not required.
Clinical Faculty Appointment
A Clinical Faculty appointment with the School of Medicine is required for this role.
Applicants who do not currently hold an appointment are welcome to apply; a completed appointment application is required prior to a formal offer which will allow up to four (4) months to secure a part time clinical faculty appointment. Compensation & Commitment
- Facilitation sessions are scheduled in person at the School of Medicine for 2-3 hours, ranging from once per week to once per month
- Term: August 2026 - June 2027 or August 2026-April 2027 (with training in August 2026)
- Compensation: Facilitators will be paid $100 per hour, minus deductions required by law. Payments will be made biweekly. Facilitators will be paid for:
- 1) 9 hours of paid training (onboarding, general orientation, course specific orientation, human rights and equity training, and mid-year check in sessions)
- 2) 1 hour of preparation per session
- 3) Facilitation time (based on the number of assigned and completed sessions)
- 4) 1 hour per month for assessment grading where applicable.
- Facilitator Development: Facilitators are expected to attend Clinical Faculty Development sessions (Summer 2026) to enhance their skills and get familiar with course content, assessments and curriculum. Facilitators are paid $100/hr for attending the sessions.
- This appointment is eligible for annual renewal, up to a maximum of two (2) renewals, conditional performance.

Leadership Team
We are hiring a Finance Director to join the School of Medicine! This newly created role leads the development and implementation of school-wide financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and resource management strategies that advance the academic, research, and operational priorities of the School of Medicine.
Serving as a trusted strategic advisor, the position provides expert financial counsel to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Dean, and senior leadership by assessing long-term financial implications, recommending evidence-based solutions, and ensuring alignment with broader University policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Staff
We are seeking a Scholarship, Research, Creative activities and Innovation (SRCI) Specialist to join the School of Medicine! This new role will provide consultation, facilitation, and an array of supports to researchers to advance SRCI across the School of Medicine community and enable learner and clinical faculty engagement in research.
The Specialist will lead pre-award processes and grant development, including identifying funding opportunities aligned to researcher needs and strategic objectives. This role supports clinical faculty and project teams through all phases of research projects, from planning to implementation to dissemination. The Specialist will also design and deliver research capacity-building initiatives including workshops, tools, and resources, and contribute to internal SRCI programming.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building the School of Medicine鈥檚 research infrastructure from the ground up, establishing the essential processes that will support our clinical faculty and researchers for years to come.
